伊朗南部一個港口周六（26日）早上發生大爆炸，造成至少14人死亡，約750人受傷。中國駐阿巴斯總領館證實，有3名中國公民在爆炸中輕微擦傷，經治療後已無大礙。
事發於伊朗最大商業港口沙希德拉賈伊（Shahid Rajaee）港，位於南部阿巴斯市附近。從現場片段可見，港口附近最初出現橙色煙霧，隨後發生巨大爆炸，現場一片混亂。

爆炸引發巨型蘑菇雲及大火，威力強勁，方圓數公里內建築物受損，多幢大樓窗戶震碎，海關辦公樓屋頂倒塌，設備墜落。居民指，爆炸威力至50公里外亦能感受到。
伊朗內政部長伊斯坎德爾·莫梅尼（Eskandar Momeni）表示，初步調查認為，爆炸涉及港口內多個存放化學品的貨櫃，因儲存不當引發事故。伊朗危機管理部門發言人指，事發前曾警告港口存在潛在危險。
爆炸後，港口運作即時暫停，伊朗海關緊急下令停止向該港出口及轉運貨物。國營伊朗國家石油公司表示，爆炸與當地石油設施無關，煉油廠、油輪及輸油管道運作未受影響。

一間私人海事風險公司Ambrey Intelligence指，爆炸可能與上月由中國運抵該港的一批「過碳酸納火箭燃料」有關，懷疑固體燃料在運輸及處理過程中不當引致爆炸。
伊朗總統佩澤希齊揚（Masoud Pezeshkian）對爆炸遇難者表示深切哀悼，要求徹查事件，並指派內政部長赴現場統籌調查及善後工作。伊朗國家安全委員會亦召開特別會議，商討後續處理。
沙希德拉賈伊港是伊朗最重要的航運樞紐之一，負責超過55%伊朗非石油貨物進出口及85%以上的集裝箱裝卸量，地理位置鄰近霍爾木茲海峽，戰略地位重要。
爆炸發生期間，伊朗與美國代表正在阿曼進行第三輪核談判。當局強調，目前沒有跡象顯示爆炸與核談判有任何關聯。
