Eight officials injured in separate explosions in Yala and Narathiwat
Four police officers and four para-military rangers were slightly injured in separate roadside IED explosions in Narathiwat and Yala provinces today.
In the first incident, a special police unit was on its way to join a para-military ranger unit, to provide protection to villagers in Ban Nam Hom, Dusongyo sub-district in Narathiwat, when their pickup truck was struck by the blast from an IED.
The explosion only caused minor injuries to four police officers, who complained of chest pain and hearing problems.
In the other incident, in Banan Sata district of Yala province, a para-military ranger unit was on a routine patrol when a roadside IED was detonated remotely, injuring four of them.
