Thai Princess Develops Severe Blood Infection, Palace Says

BANGKOK, Aug 15 (TNA) – The Royal Household Bureau of Thailand issued its fourth statement on Friday regarding the illness of Her Royal Highness Princess Bajrakitiyabha Narendira Debyavati.

The statement said the Princess, who has been unconscious since suffering a heart condition on Dec. 15, 2022, and has been receiving treatment at Chulalongkorn Hospital, has recently developed a severe infection in her bloodstream.

Her medical team has been administering medication and equipment to support the functions of her lungs and kidneys. Since Aug. 9, 2025, she has been treated with antibiotics for occasional infections, but her condition worsened due to the severe blood infection, requiring a combination of multiple antibiotics and medication to stabilize her blood pressure.

The Royal Household Bureau stated that the medical team continues to provide her with full treatment and is closely monitoring her condition. – 819 (TNA)
