Inside a Cave-Like Invitation-Only Club That's Making Waves in LKF

In the heart of Lan Kwai Fong, where the old Tasmania Ballroom once hosted countless revelries, an exclusive club is quietly making waves.

Eko, Hong Kong's latest invitation-only sanctuary, demands more than just deep pockets – its HK$100,000 membership fee (100% consumable in Eko) is merely the entry point to an experience that redefines luxury clubbing.

Co-founder Johnathan Ngai and his team at Clarity Concepts have transformed the space into something otherworldly. Using 300 custom pieces of Glass Fiber Reinforced Gypsum, they've sculpted flowing, cave-like walls that pulse with life.

"GRG gives us total freedom to create these organic curves," Ngai explains, "but it's incredibly challenging. Everything must be calculated perfectly first".

The material alone consumed 70% of the construction budget. Interactive screens throughout ensure no two visits feel the same, while the architecture guides sound rather than containing it. Mineral charcoals, deep greens, and brushed bronze create an elemental palette that feels both ancient and futuristic.

Wednesday through Saturday, eko begins as a jazz lounge before transforming into an electrifying club. The Pulse Bar serves theatrical cocktails like the Mai Fei Fat – salted peanut butter rum with pineapple molasses – in hand-blown glass vessels. Private rooms offer intimate retreats, while the secluded terrace caters to cigar aficionados.

Membership is restricted to discerning individuals aged 25 and above, with strict no-photography policies maintaining the club's mystique. As Ngai puts it: "Eko isn't just a venue – it's a living legend where visionaries from art, tech, fashion, and enterprise converge."
