On The Market: Step into History and Luxury with London's OWO Penthouse

A highly anticipated branded residences project and one of London's most significant landmarks, The OWO, has recently unveiled its crown jewel: a penthouse that redefines luxury living.

The Grade II* listed, former Old War Office in London has been closed to the public for over a century and now, following a monumental five-year renovation, is set to open as The OWO in the summer of 2023. This luxurious landmark boasts 85 unique private residences, a Raffles Hotel, and much more. Its pièce de résistance for home and design lovers, however, is The OWO Penthouse, a masterful display of British-inspired design that exudes a level of unparalleled attention to detail which will leave even the most discerning design enthusiasts in awe.

Spanning 7,700 sq ft, the penthouse features five spacious bedrooms, a private gym and sauna, cinema and games room, staff quarters, and expansive terraces offering uninterrupted views of St James's Park. International firm Winch Design, renowned for their work on superyachts, private jets, and exclusive residences, collaborated with over forty award-winning suppliers to create a timeless and joyful environment. Drawing inspiration from Savile Row tailoring, British craftsmanship, multicultural creativity and London's iconic skyline, the interior is a blend of characterful and bold elements with paired-back architecture.

The penthouse features handwoven fabrics inspired by Savile Row tailoring, bespoke embroidery and fabrics from Holland & Sherry, and classical furniture designed by Robert Langford that references the building's Georgian architectural heritage. Winch Design's in-house furniture team created The OWO chair, a custom piece crafted by Fabrili. Upholstered in Pierre Frey's cream bouclé fabric, the chair's design drew inspiration from the soft curves and timeless tones of The OWO's exterior Portland stone with a modern take on the British Chesterfield.

Custom statement light installations created by lighting designer Gabriel Scott serve as sculptural art in the entrance hallway and principal bedroom. The private gym's equipment was commissioned by Paragon Studio, using natural and sustainable kinetic materials. Winch Design also worked with QEST to select sculptural works by QEST scholars, including self-taught woodturning sculptor Max Bainbridge and stone-carving sculptor Tom Merrett, that enhance the penthouse's interior design.

In addition to the penthouse, The OWO also houses 85 unique Raffles branded residences, the 120-bedroom flagship Raffles hotel, nine restaurants and three bars, making it the ultimate luxury lifestyle destination.
