The 82nd Venice International Film Festival is well underway, drawing the world’s most recognisable filmmakers, A-listers and industry insiders to the Lido for what remains the most anticipated event on the international cinema calendar. This year’s line-up is broad: Sorrentino, Lanthimos, del Toro and Coppola are all in contention. Equally worthy of note is the style on display—both on and off the red carpet—as the Venice Film Festival upholds its reputation as an arbiter of global taste and the subtle edge of European cultural life.
