Magic Happens When Turquoise Meets Marble in this Moscow Abode

This 53m² two-bedroom apartment in Moscow has been transformed into a light and welcoming home, designed with a focus on the client’s mother’s favourite colour—turquoise.

Done by Alexander Tischler LLC, the design balances practicality with style for a comfortable and cohesive living space despite the challenges posed by load-bearing pylons.

The kitchen and living room have been combined to maximise space and create an open-plan layout. A central oak-textured block cleverly conceals a supporting pylon while adding warmth to the area.

The kitchen is divided into two sections: tall cabinets housing major appliances near the pylon and a turquoise-accented worktop with wall cabinets opposite. The loggia has been upgraded with warm glazing and a French window, transforming it into a cosy breakfast nook with a Mediterranean feel.

Turquoise accents and marble-textured porcelain stoneware with burgundy veins tie the design together across the apartment. In the living room, a foldable dark turquoise sofa faces a TV integrated into the kitchen cabinetry, while storage has been optimised for convenience. The hallway, previously dark, is now brightened by mirrored wardrobes and rich burgundy walls that match the front door.

The bathroom has been reconfigured, combining two smaller rooms into a functional space featuring a shower, utility closet, and mirrored storage. In the bedroom, turquoise details flow across the ceiling, headboard, and wardrobe, creating a calm atmosphere.
