Watches and Wonders 2025: Chopard introduces a more refined L.U.C Quattro and an Alpine Eagle in platinum
Chopard’s L.U.C Quattro is a groundbreaking micro technology in energy enhancement. It manages to fit two pairs of stacked barrels into a compact space, delivering an exceptional power reserve that keeps your watch running precisely for up to nine days. Together, these barrels can accommodate almost 2m of spring. In addition to the generous power reserve, the L.U.C Quattro is a chronometer that also received the Poincon de Geneve certification for superlative craftsmanship.
This remarkable technology is fitted in the L.U.C Calibre 98.01-L, only the second movement created entirely at Chopard’s Fleurier manufacture. This year, it is updated as the L.U.C Calibre 98.09-L with a power reserve indicator moved to the bridge and visible on the caseback—thus allowing for a cleaner dial.

Chopard L.U.C Quattro in 39mm rose gold with brown calfskin strap
The redesigned movement is housed in a case of 39mm in diameter with a height of 10.4mm, the slimmest yet for an L.U.C Quattro. Crafted in 18-karat ethical rose gold, the case features a bassine shape, with the base narrower than the domed bezel, a design that recalls Louis-Ulysse Chopard’s pocket watches from the 19th century.
The brass dial with frosted texture is in a shade of deep blue, enhanced with gold hour markers and hands. Strap options include blue alligator or brown calfskin. Sleeker and more refined than ever, the new L.U.C Quattro is the epitome of understated elegance for the modern man.

WHITE HEAT
From the evening sophistication of the L.U.C to the sports elegance of Alpine Eagle—the new model is elevated with a platinum case. Touted as one of the purest metals in watchmaking, Chopard uses only the purest version, 950/1000. In addition, this noble material is rarer than gold—and all the more coveted for it. This timepiece is also the first to bear an engraved bee symbol, which Chopard will henceforth use to identify its platinum watches.

The dial, with its eagle’s eye pattern, is in a gradient blue called Shade of Ice, inspired by the shimmering beauty of the Alpine glaciers and lakes.
The Alpine Eagle 41 XP CS Platinum is powered by the new Calibre 96.42-L self-winding movement with Chopard Twin Technology for a robust power reserve of 65 hours. The chronometer-certified movement is a feast for the eye too, what with its beautiful Côtes de Genève decoration and micro-rotor in platinum.
