BAGHDAD, Dec. 17 (Xinhua) -- For centuries, the Safafeer copperware market in downtown Baghdad has stood as one of the capital's most iconic landmarks.

Reflecting the city's traditional cultural and economic life, it is among Baghdad's oldest markets and remains renowned for its finely crafted copper collectibles and artifacts. Both Iraqis and foreign visitors frequent the market to buy souvenirs, particularly its oil lamps and copper plates with elegant Arabesque decorations.
