Weekend Home Sales Plunge 90% Due to Typhoon Whipa | HK Weekend Property Market Recap
327 觀看次數As Typhoon Wipha hit Hong Kong on Sunday, home sales plummeted, with just 23 deals closed, a staggering 90% drop from last week.
In the first-hand market, only a handful of developers had planned sales activities, but most were disrupted by the storm, leading to poor sales results.
For instance, Twin Victoria in Kai Tak had recently launched 77 units, with discounted prices ranging from HK$4.1 million to HK$5.7 million and prices per square foot between around HK$16,600 and HK$21,400.
However, their plan to sell 12 studio units, each measuring 247 square feet, on a first-come, first-served basis on Sunday was postponed due to the typhoon.
