Türkiye's Erdogan tells Trump urgent action needed to end Israel-Iran conflict
ANKARA, June 15 (Xinhua) -- Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan on Sunday urged U.S. President Donald Trump to take immediate action to end the conflict between Iran and Israel, while expressing Türkiye's readiness to facilitate diplomacy to resolve the Iranian nuclear dispute.
During their second phone call in two days, Erdogan welcomed Trump's recent statements on ending the conflict between Israel and Iran, Erdogan's office said in a statement.
He told Trump that action should be taken as soon as possible to prevent a catastrophe that could set the entire region on fire.
Erdogan added that the only way to resolve the Iranian nuclear dispute is through diplomacy and that Türkiye is ready to make every effort, including facilitation, to this end.■
