Festival of gastronomy at Kowloon Shangri-La, Angelini presents the four-hands wine dinner
This November, Kowloon Shangri-La presents the Festival of Gastronomy, a series of collaborative dinners across its signature restaurants: Angelini, Shang Palace, Nadaman and Tapas Bar. Each will host a four-hands wine pairing dinner, uniting the hotel’s resident chefs with guest talents from Italy, Spain, Japan and Yangzhou, China. Together, they’ll create limited menus that reflect both craft and cultural exchange.
The festival opens with Angelini Meets Giando: An Artistic Southern Italian six-course wine dinner on November 4. Chef Gianni Caprioli and chef Sam Sin join forces for a six-course menu (HK$1,288) that captures the spirit of southern Italy. Highlights include Sicilian red shrimp tartare and grilled octopus, each paired with wines that trace a journey from Sicily’s volcanic soils to Puglia’s coastline, a thoughtful meeting of two chefs who share the same respect for simplicity and flavour.

Another highlight takes place at Shang Palace on November 7, where chefs Gordon Leung and Kevin Zhu present an eight-course dinner (HK$1,488 per person) reinterpreting Cantonese and Huaiyang cuisines. The menu features finely executed dishes such as braised shredded silken tofu soup, a showcase of knife precision and classic technique, paired with distinguished vintages.
Each course is thoughtfully matched with premium wines to enhance flavour and texture, offering guests a refined exploration of regional traditions and contemporary craft.
