When Tea Meets Wine – A Newlywed Couple's 641 sq. ft. Home in Tai Hang, Hong Kong

After tying the knot, a couple with differing likes for wine and tea decided to buy a new property in Tai Hang, located at the heart of Hong Kong Island. The design of their new abode caters to their individual preferences.

The T.B.C Studio design team was responsible for designing the space, taking into consideration the couple's needs. The dining room showcased the wine collection of the groom with black wood grain cabinets and a small bar table made of green marble, which allowed him to indulge in drinking anytime. To make use of every inch of space, the washing machine was placed at the bottom of the bar cabinet.

In contrast to the dining room's dark color scheme, the living room was decorated in light tones, creating a contrast of light and dark between the two spaces and adding visual interest to the room.

The living room is the perfect place for the female homeowner to enjoy her tea. The designer created shelves on the wall, making it easy for her to display her favorite tea sets. Whenever she sits on the sofa, she can admire her collection and relax. The TV wall was painted with Dulux Ambiance Marble Paint, creating an artistic color and texture.

There is a terrace attached to the hall, offering a beautiful view of the lush mountains. The designer intentionally installed comfortable chairs on the terrace to create a relaxing and comfortable resting area. This allows the homeowner to unwind and adjust their mood after a long day of work.

The bathroom fixtures are from Kohler and Hansgrohe.

The design team at T.B.C. Studio pointed out: "This project perfectly showcases the homeowners' passion for wine and tea. The space not only reflects their unique personalities, but also creates a comfortable and relaxed atmosphere where they can enjoy their favourite drinks together."
