Chinese warships' activities in relevant waters in line with China's domestic laws, international law: spokesperson
BEIJING, Sept. 12 (Xinhua) -- A Chinese foreign ministry spokesperson said on Friday that the activities of Chinese warships in relevant waters are fully in compliance with China's domestic laws and international law.
Speaking at a regular news briefing, Lin Jian made the remarks in response to a query about China's third aircraft carrier, the Fujian, which recently passed through the Taiwan Strait to conduct scientific research tests and training missions in the South China Sea.
Lin said that the Chinese navy had previously released relevant information. He said this cross-region test and training mission is a normal arrangement in the process of aircraft carrier construction, and does not target any specific objective. ■
