In 1974, Hungarian sculptor, architect and designer Ernő Rubik invented the first version of Rubik's Cube. Now, nearly fifty years later, this puzzling masterpiece continues to inspire as Alejandra Gandía-Blasco recently drew her creative motivation from this legendary puzzle game for her latest collection created for GANDIABLASCO, a furniture company specializing in outdoor pieces.

Alejandra Gandía-Blasco took inspiration from the iconic Rubik's Cube, infusing its visual appeal and playfulness into a unique range of pouffes. A depart from the traditional Ottoman pouffe, this contemporary version features an elevated design free from metal structures. Its innovative design is made possible through recyclable cork and 100% recycled polyethylene materials, which provide the desired elevation.

The ERNO collection takes inspiration from the cosy comfort of indoor sofas and modifies it for indoor and outdoor environments, featuring quilted, grid-shaped fabric upholstery.

The collection offers individual pieces that can be creatively mixed and matched, enabling diverse seating arrangements. It features taller components that function as armrests and backrests, providing added comfort and support.
