TOKYO, June 12, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- The Camera & Imaging Products Association (CIPA) will be holding an online briefing session for exhibitors from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 17, 2025, for CP+ 2026, one of the world's most renowned shows for cameras, photography and imaging. The 4-day exhibition is scheduled to run from Thursday, February 26, to Sunday, March 1, 2026, at Pacifico Yokohama and online. Prospective exhibitors and those interested in the event are welcome to attend this online event.

From beginners to professionals and from kids to seniors, CP+ is an annual festival of photography and visual storytelling, designed to engage and inspire a diverse audience. It is one of the world's most prominent photo and video events, immensely popular among photo and imaging enthusiasts.

CP+ serves as a global platform for Japan--the hub of the camera and imaging equipment industry--to showcase the latest products and technologies to the world. The event attracts a broad spectrum of companies and organizations from Japan and abroad as exhibitors.

Each year, CP+ welcomes not only professionals and dedicated enthusiasts, but also families, women and young people who enjoy photography and videography. A record 125 businesses and organizations exhibited at the 2025 event with approximately 56,000 visitors (112% more than the previous year). Additionally, the online event was watched by 420,000 people (127% more than the previous year), recording 2.45 million page views. In addition to showcasing the latest products and hosting a range of expert-led seminars, the 2025 edition of CP+ featured a variety of engaging programs that drew strong interest from a broad audience.

Highlights included a large-scale PLARAIL diorama exhibit for families, a dedicated photo spot area for young women, and the popular "ZINE FAIR at CP+," where independently published zines were available for purchase. These diverse offerings ensured that visitors could enjoy the event throughout the day.

As video demand continues to grow and social media gains further traction, the photography and imaging industry continues to gain heightened attention worldwide. A new, cost-effective Budget Plan--a prime opportunity for direct engagement with the core audience--is available for 2025.

An increasing number of people are enjoying photography and videography with cameras in hands. In 2024, global shipments of digital cameras reached JPY824.7 billion, marking the fourth consecutive year of growth (source: CIPA). Driven by the rise of social media, there is increasing interest--particularly among younger demographics--in high-performance cameras capable of capturing superior-quality images and videos beyond what smartphones can offer.

For exhibitors, CP+ offers not only a valuable opportunity to promote new and existing products to a wide audience, but also a unique platform to reach target customers directly through booth displays and stage events--and to gain firsthand insights from their feedback.

In recent years, CP+ has seen a growing number of overseas brands--particularly from Asia--participating in areas such as interchangeable lenses and photography accessories. The event has also expanded to include exhibitors specializing in video equipment, astrophotography gear and imaging-related services, reflecting the ever-broadening scope of CP+.

To make participation more flexible, the event organizer offers a new and affordable Budget Plan. This compact plan is an ideal option for exhibitors seeking to participate within a limited budget. It is also continuing to offer an early-bird discount plan, exclusively for first-time exhibitors. Businesses from all sectors, from camera and accessory manufacturers to companies involved in new imaging technologies and ventures, are warmly invited to attend this briefing session.
