COLOMBO, Feb. 3 (Xinhua) -- The environs of the annual Navam Maha Perahera parade came alive with the sounds of drums and colourful lights in Colombo, Sri Lanka. Crowds gathered in large numbers as majestic elephants and dancers paraded the streets.
The Navam Maha Perahera is a major annual Buddhist procession held on Navam Full Moon Poya Day in February, highlighting the spirit of peace, harmony and unity.
