反觀地主魔術正常發揮，Desmond Bane在昔日隊友Ja Morant與Jaren Jackson Jr.到場觀戰的加持下，靠著10投5中的精準三分砲火轟下22分，為魔術吞下致勝定心丸。Bane也直言：「這對我而言相當特別！我們一起奮戰了5年，一起創造了許多美好的回憶，這是一份永恆的友誼，他們對我來說意義非凡。」
