胡塞武裝週四稍晚表示，他們對首都利雅德一處所謂「敏感目標」以及延布的沙烏地阿美設施發動攻擊。The Houthis later on Thursday said they had carried out attacks on what they described as "a sensitive target" in the capital Riyadh and on Saudi Aramco facilities in Yanbu.

The Houthis declared a naval blockade on the kingdom in July, opening a second theatre in the US-Iran war.
