Singapore, April 2026 — As the K-pop craze continues to sweep across Asia, the younger generation's yearning for the stage and the idol industry is growing stronger. Taiwan's performing arts training capabilities are being exported across borders in a new form, officially landing in Singapore.
Singaporean K-pop performance community Korero Dance Collective recently announced that it has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Taiwan Kinetic Art Association (TWKAA), establishing a cross-border strategic partnership. The two organizations will work together to promote the development of performing arts education in Singapore, strengthen local competition and talent development systems, and inject new momentum into the Asian entertainment industry.

II. Cross-border talent development:
Both parties will jointly discover potential performers, expand performance, competition and cultural exchange opportunities between Taiwan and Singapore, and create a cross-border arts development platform.
Third,
through industry insights and production experience sharing, TWKAA will assist Korero in strengthening its "S-Pop" positioning and gradually establishing a local idol culture with market recognition.
IV. NAC Project Support:
TWKAA will serve as a key international partner for Korero in its grant application to the National Arts Council (NAC), providing technical verification and phased development support.

Their willingness to share their accumulated systems and philosophies will help Korero build a more solid foundation and long-term direction in promoting the development of performing arts competitions in Singapore."
Matt Chen, Honorary Chairman of TWKAA, pointed out:
"Korero Dance Collective's commitment and sense of mission to the arts community are impressive. We look forward to combining Taiwan's long-standing experience in the performing arts with Singapore's diverse and vibrant cultural environment through this collaboration, to jointly create new possibilities for the development of performing arts in Asia."
Outlook: Building a New Ecosystem for the Asian Idol Industry
This collaboration not only symbolizes the cross-border export of Taiwan's performing arts professional system, but also reflects a new stage in the Asian entertainment industry, shifting from a single cultural import to multi-point co-creation.
