In the heart of Yau Tong's Peninsula East stands MMH Interior Design's most recent masterpiece - an 870-square-foot abode that offers solace and comfort to its inhabitants and their feline companion. The interior designers incorporated Schneider Electric's Wiser Smart Home system into this Nordic-inspired dwelling, transforming it into a tech-savvy haven.

For this home, we selected the versatile Wiser Smart Home system. The mobile app 'Wiser by SE' enables users to connect and manage up to 60 smart devices with seamless ease,” explained Tidus Chung, co-founder of MMH Interior Design. He demonstrated the innovative technology first-hand by swiftly opening and closing shades, turning the air conditioner on and off with a mere wave of a finger on his smartphone.

The homeowners have an adorable cat, and the thought of their furry friend cooped up inside a stiflingly warm house due to sunlight streaming through the living room’s floor-to-ceiling windows while they’re away troubled them. Therefore, they decided to install a state-of-the-art smart home system that provides complete home automation. This decision ensures their beloved cat can enjoy a life of comfort and ease, irrespective of the weather conditions.

The Wiser temperature/humidity sensor can track indoor temperature changes. Its convenience lies in its ability to automatically control the roller shades and air conditioner via the Wiser 360-degree ZB/IR Converter. Even if the homeowners decide to leave the cat alone at home, they can have peace of mind from setting up the shades and the air conditioner to automatically adjust according to the indoor temperature.

Tidus is known for his thoughtful designs, as evidenced by his implementation of water leak sensor technology in this home. With the Wiser Water Leak Sensor, if the cat is playing with water near the sink, the sensor will detect any water splashes and promptly send an alert to the homeowner through the App to prevent household accidents.

To adjust indoor lighting, the homeowners can use the App or opt for the Wiser Freelocate switch to create different ambiances throughout the home. “Wiser Smart Home system is highly adaptable,” said Tidus. “Homeowners can effortlessly connect and configure new smart devices through the App and set up customized scenes to suit their daily routines.”

The interior design of the home is centered around oak wood, using curved elements to connect the space together. In the hall, a curved false ceiling creates a natural division between the living and dining areas while maintaining an open and spacious feeling. The designer paid meticulous attention to detail, particularly in selecting the Wiser smart switches and other AvatarOn C switches with their simple and stylish frameless dolly design that perfectly complements the Nordic aesthetic of the space.
