這位 79 歲的老人走進勞力士套房，然後球員們走上球場，向幾乎空無一人的人群揮手致意，受到了噓聲和歡呼聲。隨後，川普總統在演唱國歌的儀式前出現在螢幕上並再度受到了類似的接待。據了解，川普並不是受美國網球公開賽官方的邀請，而是受瑞士豪華製錶商勞力士的邀請。

但這場由衛冕冠軍辛納（Jannik Sinner）對戰宿敵艾卡拉茲（Carlos Alcaraz）的年末最終大滿貫決賽，原定當地時間下午2時開打，最終延至2時37分開賽。娜拉提洛娃在《天空體育》直播中痛批：「數千名觀眾在細雨中苦候，他們支付高昂票價卻無法順利入場，至今場館仍有超過一半空位！球員的熱身與進食時程全被打亂，儘管雙方同等受影響，但此情況絕對不該發生。」

可容納2.4萬人的亞瑟艾許中央球場（Arthur Ashe Stadium）因川普從華盛頓搭乘空軍一號專機抵達，實施航空級安檢規格。所有觀眾都需通過運輸安全管理局（TSA）規格的嚴格檢查，平均耗時30分鐘以上。川普於開賽前30分鐘才現身包廂觀賽，這是自2015年後首度重返美網現場。
