“I will introduce…” 上班族做簡報時很常講，但聽起來怪怪的 4 句英文
很多人在做英文簡報時，都會遇到一個狀況：不是不會英文，而是用中文邏輯在講英文。
這樣的英文別人雖然也聽得懂，但不自然。
而且經常是，講錯了自己不知道，沒人會糾正你。
以下這幾個，是商業人士最常出現、卻很少自覺的用法。
1. “Next page, I will introduce…” 下一頁，我會介紹
很多人在簡報翻頁時會說：
（Ｘ）Next page, I will introduce our strategy.
這句話不是文法錯，而是不符合英文語感。
更自然的說法是：
（Ｏ） On the next slide, I’ll walk you through our strategy.
（Ｏ） Let me walk you through our strategy.
中文的「介紹」用處太廣；而 Introduce 基本上是「把某人或某件事『帶入／引入』到一個新的情境」，例如：
• 讓人第一次認識
Let me introduce John to you. 我要把John介紹給你。
• 或把東西正式帶進來
The company introduced a new product. 公司引進一項新產品。
前面這句Introduce a strategy，其實是在帶大家理解內容。
所以更自然的動詞是：
• walk you through
• go over
2. “We need more budget” 我們需要更多預算。
這句話幾乎每天都會在會議裡出現。
（Ｘ）We need more budget for this project.
問題是——英文在談 budget 時，重點通常是「規模的變化」，而不是「多一點還是少一點」。用larger形容會比直接用 more 修飾更合適。
問題不在文法，而在語感與概念。
更自然的說法是：
（Ｏ） We need a larger budget for this project.
（Ｏ） We need additional budget for this initiative.
如果你要更精準一點：
• We may need to increase the budget.
重點是：英文在談的是「調整規模」，不是「多一點」。
3. “This part is talking about…” 這個部份談到的是…
（Ｘ）This part is talking about our revenue.
（Ｏ）This section shows our revenue performance.
“talking about”太口語，也太像翻譯中文「在講…」
簡報更常用：
• This section shows our revenue performance.
• This section covers our revenue.
• This section highlights our revenue growth.
Show/cover/highlight 這類動詞的特色是：
更精準、更像分析，而不是聊天。
4. “The reason is because…” 這原因是因為…..
（Ｘ）The reason is because demand increased.
（Ｏ）The reason is that demand increased.
（Ｏ）This is because demand increased.
原因很簡單：reason 和 because 不能同時出現。
簡報英文，不一定要更難。有時候，只是少一點翻譯，多一點直接。
