Daniel Boulud, the French-born, New York-based chef behind a global portfolio of acclaimed French restaurants, will open his first Hong Kong venture on the 25th floor of Landmark Prince’s. The space was formerly home to Sevva, which closed its doors last year. Developed in partnership with Mandarin Oriental, the yet-unnamed concept will offer food and drink throughout the day and into the night, feature an expansive rooftop terrace with views over Victoria Harbour and direct access to the hotel via an enclosed walkway, positioning it as one of Central’s most prominent new dining and entertainment destinations.

Boulud is best known for Daniel, his flagship fine-dining restaurant on Manhattan’s Upper East Side, and for shaping modern French dining in New York. His wider group spans a range of concepts, from the casual Epicerie Boulud to the seafood-focused Le Pavillon and the Mediterranean-leaning Boulud Sud, with outposts in Miami, Palm Beach, Toronto, Dubai and Singapore. What ties them together is a consistent, ingredient-driven approach rooted in French tradition but attuned to each city’s rhythm. Most recently, Boulud appeared as himself in Season 3 of FX’s The Bear as a mentor.

His Hong Kong debut aligns with Mandarin Oriental’s US$200 million investment into its founding hotels (in Hong Kong and Bangkok) and reflects the long-standing partnership between the hotel group and Landmark. For Boulud, this move extends his global reach, while for Central, it adds further weight to the district’s expanding roster of international dining talent.

The restaurant forms part of Landmark’s wider US$1 billion ‘Tomorrow’s Central’ redevelopment, a generational plan to reshape its Atrium, Alexandra and Prince’s properties as a luxury lifestyle hub. Once complete, Landmark’s Central portfolio will include more than 200 boutiques and over 100 food and beverage outlets—underlining how deeply dining is now woven into the business of luxury.
