Senior CPC official meets with Spanish delegation
BEIJING, July 25 (Xinhua) -- Yin Li, a member of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee, met with a delegation led by Salvador Illa, president of the regional government of Catalonia, in Beijing on Friday.
Yin, who is also secretary of the CPC Beijing Municipal Committee, said that this year marks the 20th anniversary of the establishment of the comprehensive strategic partnership between China and Spain.
China is willing to work with Spain to implement the important consensus reached between the leaders of the two countries, deepen interparty exchange and subnational cooperation, promote the continuous deepening of practical cooperation in various fields, and facilitate the development of China-Spain and China-EU relations, he said.
Illa said that Spain is willing to enhance its exchange and dialogue with China, deepen cooperation in areas such as interparty relations, localities, the economy and trade, culture, and science and technology, and bring more benefits to the people in both countries. ■
