Paris Fashion Week concluded just a few days ago, marking the end of fashion’s grand tour for this season. After weeks of runway magic across New York, London, Milan and Paris, the French capital delivered a finale to remember. From Stella McCartney’s playful nod to ’80s office attire to Loewe’s bold move of ditching the traditional runway for a more intimate presentation, this season was anything but predictable.

And while we’re still waiting for the sun to make an appearance, there’s no harm in getting a head start on your autumn wardrobe. From sleek leather looks at Dior and Victoria Beckham to the triumphant return of statement shoulders at Balmain and Givenchy, these are the five trends Paris Fashion Week has served up for next season.

Winter’s fashion memo is loud and clear: leather for everyone. Whether you’re a fan of buttery-soft classics, edgy cuts or the vegan alternative, this season’s runways had it all. Nearly every runway gave a nod to the sleek staple, but Hermès stole the show with a luxe tribute to its leather and equestrian heritage—think leather boots, tailored shorts and chic dresses that made a case for head-to-toe hide.

Shades of yellow by Givenchy and Tom Ford

The fashion world has a new colour crush. After the fiery return of scarlet red at Milan Fashion Week, shades of yellow are here to keep the mood bright—long after summer fades. At Givenchy, Sarah Burton delivered a fresh twist on the bodysuit in a striking yellow we’re already eyeing to pair with denim. Meanwhile, Tom Ford served up a sultry cut-out evening dress, perfect for anyone looking to be the brightest star in the room.

Statement shoulders by Stella McCartney and Saint Laurent

Can we say that statement shoulders are making a comeback, bigger than ever? The oversized shoulder is quickly becoming the must-have piece for next season. From the bold, structured designs at Balmain to Stella McCartney’s sculptural creations, it’s clear fashion is embracing strength and structure this autumn. Whether sharp or rounded, statement shoulders are the ultimate fashion power play—and they’re bound to dominate both the office and beyond.

Embellished shoes by Valentino and Alexander McQueen

Forget understated footwear—this season, it's all about shoes that demand attention with every step of the way. Valentino’s sparkling sequins set the tone, turning your feet into a canvas of art. Whether dripping in jewels or decorated with intricate beading, embellished shoes elevate any outfit from ordinary to fabulous. Get ready to step into the season with footwear that speaks louder than words.

Sheer statement by Chloé and Alaïa

Since last season, sheer fabrics have shed their shy reputation, stepping into the spotlight as a bold and sophisticated trend. Paris Fashion Week fall/winter 2025 show cemented this shift even further, with designers incorporating sheer elements to infuse their collections with depth and allure.

At Alaïa, Pieter Muller showcased sculptural silhouettes paired with sheer materials, emphasising the female form. At Chloé, sheer silk and lace pieces took the spotlight, complementing the brand’s effortless, feminine style.
