Coachella 2025: Jennie, Lisa and other Asian performers make powerful fashion statement
The 2025 Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival is in full swing. As weekend 1 draws to a close, it's not just the dynamic performances that are forever etched onto our memories—we're also still hung up on all the fashion-forward looks that rocked the stage.
Spanning across two weekends, this year’s line-up featured a remarkable presence of Asian talent. K-pop powerhouses Jennie and Lisa delivered dynamic solo sets whereas South Korean boy band Enhypen made their highly anticipated debut at the world’s largest music festival. Filipina-British indie darling beabadoobe, global phenom Charli Xcx who is of Indian descent, and Vietnamese-American singer-songwriter and producer Keshi also rounded out the impressive roster of Asian artists who claimed the spotlight at the Coachella Valley in style.
From theatrical custom ensembles to American Western-inspired looks, these are Tatler’s picks of the performers of Asian heritage who made a fashion statement at Coachella 2025 weekend 1.

Jennie

For her highly anticipated solo set on the third day of Coachella 2025 weekend 1, Jennie took to the stage in a red hot cowboy-inspired look. Along with a red cowboy hat, the look featured a patent crocodile leather jacket, crop top and micro-shorts completed with a pair of over-the-knee suede boots.
Lisa
On the opening night of Coachella 2025, Lisa captivated the Sahara stage in a custom reptilian body suit and glowing catsuit both designed by American fashion designer Asher Levine. The Thai star filled her solo debut at the festival with other fashion-forward moments that included a bespoke GCDS x Hello Kitty look and an all-red leather set marked by a star-shaped bralette.
Charli Xcx
Charli Xcx had us wishing for another Brat summer at the 2025 Coachella weekend 1 stage. The pop star of Indian descent electrified the Colorado Desert in an all-black look marked by an archive Yves Saint Laurent top by Tom Ford and Natasha Zinko shorts fastened by a vintage Dolce & Gabbana belt. The ensemble was made complete with a pair of Fidan Novruzova high boots as well as gloves from The World of Seymoure.

All seven members of the K-pop boy band Enhypen wore Prada for their Coachella stage debut. The entertainers and Prada ambassadors sang their hits Moonstruck and Bite Me in American Western-style denim sets sprinkled with studs.

Michelle Zauner, lead vocalist of indie pop band Japanese Breakfast, captivated weekend 1 in an oversized button-up top and leather shorts from McQueen. Adding a tinge of theatrics, the Korean-American musician wore a custom pearl crown by Renacio Reyes, Pearl Tear sunglasses by Korean designer Kimhekim and sculptural earrings by Monika Szamalek.

Filipina-British singer beabadoobee returned to the Coachella stage for the second time wearing a cropped leather jacket, skin-baring cut-out bodysuit and denim shorts. A pair of slouchy cowboy boots speaks to the singer’s carefree and effortless appeal.

Vietnamese-American singer-songwriter and producer Keshi took to the Coachella stage in an all-black look marked by a sheer blouse with a plunging neckline and bootleg cut trousers.
