Tatler community members who dazzled on the Cannes red carpet this year
The first half of 2025 has offered no shortage of red carpet spectacle—from the Oscars in Los Angeles to the Met Gala in New York, and now to the sun-drenched shores of the French Riviera for the 78th Cannes Film Festival.
While the world’s A-listers held court along the Croisette, Hong Kong’s Tatler community made a quietly commanding impression—from the grand staircase to the city’s most exclusive soirées. Among the standouts: Juno Mak with his directorial debut, Sons of the Neon Night, a moody crime thriller starring Louis Koo and Tony Leung Ka-Fai; and Beatrice Ho walking as the first Hong Kong model in Chopard’s Caroline Scheufele haute couture presentation at the old Cannes airport.

Beatrice Ho

Beatrice Ho is no stranger to the spotlight. As the granddaughter of legendary casino magnate Stanley Ho and daughter of businesswoman Daisy Ho, she’s long been a fixture on Hong Kong’s social circuit—and her sartorial choices are as striking as the glittering events she frequents. So it was only fitting that Ho became the first Hong Kong model to walk for Caroline Scheufele’s couture collection, taking to the runway at Chopard's annual gala titledUniverse during the 78th Cannes Film Festival—a milestone moment that speaks to her close relationship with the Chopard artistic director.
In addition to her runway debut, Ho made a red carpet appearance in a sculptural blue bustier gown by Nicole + Felicia.
Juno Mak

Tatler’s May cover star Juno Mak makes his Cannes directorial debut with the high-budget crime thriller Sons of the Neon Night. Dressed in a Gucci suit, Mak walked the red carpet alongside his cast, including Louis Koo and Tony Leung Ka-fai. His film is the only Asian title selected for this year’s Midnight Screenings section at the Cannes Film Festival.

Mira Yeh, a prominent figure in Hong Kong, is also a key supporter of the city’s cultural scene, serving as vice-chairman of the Hong Kong Ballet’s Board of Governors. It’s no surprise, then, that she brought her signature elegance to the red carpet at this year’s Cannes Film Festival. Yeh attended two premieres—wearing a Chanel gown for theHighest 2 Lowest premiere, and later stepping out in a pink tulle dress from Caroline’s Couture collection for The Phoenician Scheme.

While Antonia Li have long been recognised for her prowess in the creative space, she’s now making waves with her formidable style. Recently, she turned heads at a Chopard dinner in an elegant Caroline’s Couture gown, before making a striking red carpet appearance in a Verdavainne couture ensemble.
Louis Koo

Louis Koo, one of Hong Kong’s most well-known actors, is a regular on the steps of the Cannes Film Festival. This year, he returned for the premiere of Juno Mak’s Sons of the Neon Night, in which he plays a leading role.

Hong Kong action star Donnie Yen made a return on the Cannes red carpet this year, joined by his wife, Cissy Wang. The couple stepped out for the premiere of the French competition title Dossier 137 (Case 137), currently in the festival’s main selection. Wang opted for a nude-toned gown adorned with sequins—a fluid, figure-skimming silhouette that caught the light as she walked the Croisette hand-in-hand with Yen.
