Hong Kong and Thailand have enjoyed robust bilateral trade relations on a range of products and services over the years. Adding to the Hong Kong’s business advantages, Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC) organises world-class exhibitions in Hong Kong to create business opportunities for corporations in the world.
Ms Vian Cheung, Director, Thailand & South Asia, HKTDC announced here today that four lifestyle fairs will be held in the coming September to November in Hong Kong, which will offer ideal platforms for traders and suppliers from Thailand to expand their businesses into new markets. These fairs are:
- HKTDC Hong Kong Watch & Clock Fair (2-6 September)
- Salon de TIME (2-6 September)
- CENTRESTAGE (3-6 September)
- HKTDC Hong Kong International Optical Fair (5-7 November)
“In 2024-25, we staged some 40 major events, attracting over 32,900 exhibitors and over 597,600 physical buyers and participants from Hong Kong, the mainland and around the world.” Ms Vian Cheung said, “Positioned strategically at the heart of Asia, coupled with its exceptional logistics services and adept supply chain management, Hong Kong serves as a promising platform for global business to extend their reach into markets across Mainland China and the broader Asian region.” She looked forward to welcoming more corporations in Thailand to explore business opportunities and tap into global markets through HKTDC exhibitions. She also highly encouraged all buyers, distributors and retailers from Thailand to come to Hong Kong for sourcing.
Thailand is Hong Kong’s 10th largest trading partner. Until May 2025, the total trade value between the two places reached more than USD 8.7 billion. In which, Thailand was Hong Kong’s 8thmajor export market with a total export value of USD 4 billion and 10thlargest import source with an import value of USD 4.7 billion.

Organised by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC), Hong Kong Watch Manufacturers Association Ltd and The Federation of Hong Kong Watch Trades & Industries Ltd, the 44th Hong Kong Watch & Clock Fair, together with the 13th Salon de TIME, will be held at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre (HKCEC) from 2-6 September 2025. The fairs will return in EXHIBITION+ hybrid model, complemented by the “Click2Match”, an online smart business matching platform that will operate on 26 August to 13 September, providing a convenient and efficient platform for traders to connect.
As mega events in Hong Kong and the world’s premier timepiece event, the fairs provide a one-stop trading platform for the industry. Centered around the theme “Our Time. Our Moments”, the fairs present an extensive selection of premium watches across various categories – from luxury and high-fashion designs to technologically advanced and sustainable models. The diverse lineup also includes collaborative branded timepieces, limited editions, customised watches, and creations by independent watchmakers, offering buyers a dynamic and comprehensive sourcing experience.

Salon de TIME features renowned watch brands and designer collections in five themed zones:
- World Brand Piazza highlights limited editions and rare timepieces of numerous international prestigious brands;
- Chic & Trendy features trendsetters and fashion-driven watch brands, including Ice-Watch (Belgium), Infantry (Japan), Quantum (Turkey) and CAUGHT (Hong Kong);
- Craft Treasure showcases mechanical watches and flawless craftsmanship of jewellery-laden watches, including Memorigin (Hong Kong), Present (Hong Kong, Seagull (Mainland China), Shanghai (Mainland China) and SAGA (US);
- Renaissance Moment showcases classic and elegant watch brands originated in Europe, such as, Pierre Lannier (France), ROAMER (Switzerland) and Lilienthal Berlin (Germany) and Solvil et Titus (Switzerland). Among them, the Swiss Independent Watchmaking Pavilion (SIWP), International Luxury Group (ILG) and Francéclat will showcase various outstanding independent watch labels;
- Oskron (Germany)in Wearable Tech will bring an array of smart watches with dynamic technology.
Salon de TIME is open to trade buyers and public visitors for the five-day physical fair period this year. Celebrity events, watch parades and lucky draw sessions will be arranged. Selected items are also available for sale.
Captivating Events & Activities
An array of watch parades, seminars, buyer forums and networking events will be held during the fair period to present the latest market insights and inspiration to industry players and facilitate business interaction. On 2 September, representatives of major watch associations around the world will gather at the Hong Kong International Watch Forum to discuss the global trade performance, forecast the market trend for the coming year, and explore strategies to strengthen resilience in the global watch supply chain. At theAsian Watch Conference on 3 September, market research analyst from Euromonitor International (Hong Kong) will reveal the latest outlook for the watch industry, renowned independent watchmakers will share insights on the longevity value of independent watches, and join industry representatives in discussing the implications of the EU’s Ecodesign for Sustainable Product Regulations (ESPR) and unveil the lasting value of the life cycle in sustainable watchmaking.
Watch & Clock Design Competition
With the aspiration of stimulating creative exchange in local watch and clock design as well as fostering creativity, the HKTDC, Hong Kong Watch Manufacturers Associations Ltd. and The Federation of Hong Kong Watch Trades & Industries Ltd. jointly organise the 42nd Hong Kong Watch & Clock Design Competition again this year. Under the theme of “Believe In Yourself” for the student group and “Memorable” for the open group, winners will be announced at the fair and winning pieces will be displayed during the fair at Hall 1 Concourse. Besides, the competition will once again present the “The Made-to-Sell Award” to a student group entry demonstrating exceptional marketability, which will be manufactured under guidance of the two watch associations and receive its official launch at HKTDC Design Gallery.

Asia’s Fashion Spotlight Shines:
CENTRESTAGE 2025 Opens this September in Hong Kong
Asia’s premier fashion event, CENTRESTAGE, organised by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC) with the Cultural and Creative Industries Development Agency (CCIDA) of the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR) as the Lead Sponsor, will take place from 3 to 6 September 2025 at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre (HKCEC).
Marking its milestone 10th edition, this four-day fashion extravaganza will gather an impressive lineup of international pavilions.
As this year’s Partner Country, the United Kingdom will present a curated showcase of acclaimed UK-based designers. CENTRESTAGE serves as a strategic platform, empowering these brands to expand into the dynamic Asian market.
The fair will also welcome debut pavilions from the Czech Republic. The Czech Republic pavilion will highlight fashion brands featuring stylised glass and individuality.
Thailand will also establish its largest pavilion ever to feature a record-breaking collection of 40+ brands integrated with elements of art and culture.
The new Japan pavilion will feature up-and-coming brands, including designers who recently participated in Rakuten Fashion Week Tokyo SS25.
Other international pavilions include Korea, the Philippines, Singapore and Macao.
In a commitment to sustainability, Redress, an NGO championing circular fashion, will showcase award-winning circular fashion brands and stage the Grand Finale Show for the 15th anniversary of the Redress Design Award at CENTRESTAGE.
Equally noteworthy, the Fashion Farm Foundation, an NGO promoting Hong Kong’s fashion industry through cross-sector collaborations, will feature special showcases merging Hong Kong fashion with Macao fashion, music, art, product design, and Chinese intangible cultural heritage respectively. The heritage segment will feature traditional craftsmanship, including the “Gold Embroidery Qungua” bridal attire and “Xiangyun Silk”.
The fair will also feature design pieces from the Hong Kong Design Institute and Hong Kong Polytechnic University’s School of Fashion and Textiles. Additionally, Chinese Arts & Crafts, Hong Kong‘s retail brand for Chinese cultural and artistic crafts, marks its 66th anniversary with a special presentation of designs embracing intangible cultural heritage.
CENTRESTAGE will host a number of fascinating fashion shows. CENTRESTAGE ELITES, the event’s premier gala show, will unveil an exclusive collection by an internationally acclaimed design icon.
The Fashion Hong Kong Runway Show, taking place at the HKCEC on 3 September, will feature the latest collections of four renowned Hong Kong labels.
In addition, fashion shows featuring the designs of Hong Kong brands KOWLOON CITY BOY, 112 mountainyam, and DorisKath, along with Cambodia’s NATACHA VAN and Japan’s Snidel, will be staged during the fair.
On the final day of CENTRESTAGE, a unique fashion show curated by CAMMIE CHAN CHEONGSAM, will showcase oversized-model qipao designs that celebrate body diversity. This event will feature an unconventional twist: stylish pets dressed in fashionable pieces walking the runway.
While celebrating established designers, CENTRESTAGE continues its vital role in cultivating young talent through premier competition fashion shows: the Hong Kong Young Fashion Designers’ Contest by HKTDC, the Young Knitwear Designers’ Contest by Knitwear Innovation and Design Society andthe Thread of Creativity Fashion Design Competition by Asian New Generation Creativity Design Association
At the same time, a range of seminars featuring esteemed industry experts will be held during CENTRESTAGE to explore the latest industry trends and insights.
CENTRESTAGE will continue to welcome both industry professionals and the public. In 2024, CENTRESTAGE attracted over 250 brands from 18 countries and regions, drawing more than 8,500 buyers from 82 countries and regions to source at the fair.

Hong Kong Eyewear Design Competition
To foster Hong Kong’s creativity and innovation, the HKTDC joins hands with HKOMA to organise the 25th Hong Kong Eyewear Design Competition under the theme of “Blending Tradition and Technology”. Winning and final entries will be on display at the fairground during the fair period to showcase the unique Hong Kong’s creativity to international buyers.
